Geat color selection, very easy to apply, looks amazing, has improved my skin, good for oil control, wears all day, i've even found it's semi waterproof which is great during the summer, contains an SPF as well! I will never go back to regular liquid foundation bc. it didn't work, didn't cover, made my skin worse and was more expensive.

Afterglow Cosmetics Multi-Tasking Foundation is a dream come true. It's AMAZING. I only wish I had found it years ago and saved myself, my skin and my wallet the heartache of those inferior foundations!

Now we all know mineral makeup is uber big this year, but when people think of minerals they tend to think of foundation, yet there’s so much more than that available. Using mineral eyeshadow can be less irritating to the sensitive eye area, and the loose powder formulation creates a really gentle wash of colour. I’ve been testing out mineral eyeshadows £16 from AfterGlow Cosmetics and really love the consistency on my skin. The product is certified organic the Environmental Working Group and is really gentle on my eyes. I wear contact lenses and there’s no discomfort with this product at all. The eyeshadows are bismuth oxychloride free, talc-free, chemical-free and dye-free, and come in an amazing selection of colours.

Afterglow mineral cosmetics tried and tested

Mineral makeup is everywhere right now, and Afterglow is one of the newer additions to the UK cosmetics counter, having been a huge success in the States. It's got great ethical credentials, is certified cruelty-free by the BUAV and contains no parabens or fragrances. So how well does it actually work?
I managed to get my hands on a few samples of the '80% organic, 100% natural' range, and have asked a few members of the office to give me their verdict on the brand. Follow the jump to find out what they thought.

I tried the dusty rose blush, the first mineral blusher I've used. I liked this product a lot, as it was so soft and velvety it blended into my skin with ease, and gave a really natural-looking glow. It was easy to get the shade and intensity just right using a brush, creating as much or as little definition as you want. Catwalk Queen Editor-in-Chief Gemma tried the organic mineral setting powder over the weekend. The idea of this product is to help absorb oil to create a smoother finish, but it's also loaded with antioxidants to help preserve a youthful glow. Gemma tried the 'light' setting powder, and commented: "It's a perfect texture and works just as well as their mineral veil, but it's more yellow / orange toned which doesn't work so well with my skin.
